We are seeking an experienced Mining Manager to lead our mining operations in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mining management and operations, demonstrating exceptional leadership, safety, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the mining team to achieve high performance.
• Manage budgets and ensure effective cost controls.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
• Compile reports on production and operational performance.
• Identify areas for operational improvement and implement strategies.
• Facilitate communication between different departments within the company.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 10 years in mining with 5 years in senior management.

Technical Skills

• Experience with large-scale mining equipment
• Knowledge of sustainability practices

Soft Skills

• Conflict resolution
• Strategic thinking

Certifications

• Safety and health compliance certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
