DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Join our Johannesburg team as a DevOps Engineer and play a vital role in driving continuous integration and delivery practices. You will be responsible for automating infrastructure deployment and ensuring that our systems are scalable and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Establish best practices in DevOps and contribute to the organization’s strategic direction.
• Integrate monitoring and logging solutions for all services.
• Support the development team in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Engage in capacity planning and resource management.
• Continuously improve deployment processes through feedback and metrics.
• Create and maintain documentation related to the DevOps process.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Master's degree in related field is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a DevOps role or similar capacity

• CI/CD tools

Certifications

• Certified Jenkins Engineer
• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with monitoring tools: Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
