Job Description

As a Tax Consultant, you will be at the forefront of guiding our clients through tax planning, compliance, and strategic tax advice. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of tax regulations and a passion for helping clients optimize their tax positions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to provide tailored tax solutions.
• Monitor and analyze client tax compliance and reporting.
• Advise on international tax considerations for businesses.
• Assist in developing tax policies and procedures.
• Lead client meetings and presentations on tax planning.
• Research and analyze tax-related issues to provide accurate advice.
• Draft tax-related correspondence and documentation.
• Evaluate client portfolios to optimize tax benefits.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Postgraduate degree in Taxation or Business Management is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of direct tax experience

Technical Skills

• Tax Preparation
• Financial Analysis

Soft Skills

• Client Management
• Time Management

Certifications

• Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA)
• Registered Tax Practitioner (RTP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

• Certifications in tax planning and advisory: Additional certifications in tax-related strategies are beneficial.
• Previous experience in corporate tax consulting: Experience assisting large corporations with their tax strategies.
