Job Description

As a Sewing Supervisor, you'll lead our sewing department, ensuring that production schedules are met while upholding the highest quality standards. Your role will involve training staff, coordinating workflows, and maintaining materials and inventory levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee sewing operations, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain production logs and ensure all documentation is accurate.
  • Assess and resolve issues related to machine operation and production flow.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for sewing and finishing techniques.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new staff.
  • Participate in planning meetings with department heads.
  • Facilitate a productive and positive work environment within the team.
  • Monitor material usage and report any discrepancies.
  • Encourage team engagement and motivation towards common goals.
  • Prepare weekly reports on production metrics and team performance.

Requirements

Education
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Certification in relevant textile processes is preferred.
Experience
  • 5+ years' experience in a supervisory role within a textile manufacturing environment.
