Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our exceptional team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing structural solutions for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and sustainability standards.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and recommend materials for construction based on project requirements and cost considerations.
  • Conduct structural assessments for existing buildings and provide recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
  • Present design proposals and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals and permits.
  • Develop and supervise project budgets to ensure financial viability.
  • Travel to project sites to monitor progress and compliance with design specifications.
  • Engage with local communities to incorporate their feedback in project designs.
  • Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD and SAP2000 for design and analysis.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or relevant field
  • Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the civil engineering field
