Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join our dynamic team in Kimberley. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of mining operations and be committed to implementing best practices in safety and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of mining projects from inception to closure.
• Prepare mining plans and schedules in alignment with operational goals.
• Assess environmental impacts and develop mitigation strategies.
• Supervise the implementation of health and safety programs.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and site personnel.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability.
• Participate in budget planning and cost control processes.
• Manage vendor relationships for procurement of materials and services.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to maintain operational standards.
• Contribute to strategic planning and development of mining methodologies.

Requirements

Education

• BSc in Engineering or relevant field
• MSc or higher in a mining-related discipline is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of direct experience in the mining sector

• Mining Software Proficiency
