IT Support Technician

Job Description

As an IT Support Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our IT systems run smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise will help troubleshoot technical issues, provide user support, and implement solutions that enhance productivity across the company.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation and upgrades of software applications.
• Work with vendors and suppliers for hardware procurement.
• Conduct user training sessions for new technology.
• Participate in IT projects and contribute to system improvements.
• Analyze user feedback to enhance IT service delivery.
• Provide backup support for IT Manager during absence.
• Assist in setting up remote work capabilities for employees.
• Ensure all incidents are logged and tracked in the IT ticketing system.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience

Technical Skills

• Active Directory
• Remote Desktop Support

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Teamwork

Certifications

• ITIL Foundation
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with IT asset management tools: Knowledge of systems for tracking hardware and software inventory.
• Familiarity with help desk software: Experience with ticketing systems like Jira or ServiceNow.
