Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our Johannesburg office. The ideal candidate will have a solid expertise in soil mechanics and foundation design, contributing to diverse civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for conducting field investigations, analyzing data, and providing technical support to ensure the structural integrity of various projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed soil testing and interpretation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for project execution.
• Prepare geotechnical design calculations and analysis.
• Support project managers in ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
• Advise on best practices for earthworks and foundation systems.
• Facilitate training and knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering
• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred

Experience

• At least 5 years of practical geotechnical engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Soil Sampling Techniques
• Geological Mapping

Soft Skills

• Project Management
• Conflict Resolution

Certifications

• Civil Engineering Professional License
• Certified Geotechnical Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent
