Journeyman Carpenter

Job Description

As a Journeyman Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing wooden structures and fixtures. You'll work closely with project teams, ensuring high-quality outcomes while maintaining safety and efficiency on-site.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials for accurate installation.
• Assemble and install custom furniture and cabinetry.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and client specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct inspections for quality control and safety compliance.
• Provide on-site training for apprentices and less experienced workers.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Manage project timelines and meet deadlines.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in Carpentry or Construction Management is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of carpentry experience with a focus on residential projects
