We are seeking a passionate Environmental Consultant to contribute to our mission of fostering sustainable development. You will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments and providing clients with strategic guidance on compliance and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate environmental consequences of proposed projects and developments.
• Develop and implement environmental sustainability strategies.
• Collaborate with business units to align environmental goals with operations.
• Prepare and present reports outlining impact assessments to clients.
• Facilitate workshops and training on environmental best practices.
• Research and incorporate new technologies to improve assessment methods.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies or related discipline
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental impact assessments

Technical Skills

• Sustainability Reporting
• Risk Assessment

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Detail-oriented

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in community engagement: Ability to facilitate community meetings and engage stakeholders.
• Proficient in environmental modelling: Experience in conducting environmental modelling and simulations.
