Job Description

Are you passionate about working with children? As a Childcare Worker / After School Coordinator, you will oversee the daily activities, providing a safe and stimulating environment for the children. You will implement engaging programs that promote both educational and recreational activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate engaging activities for children that promote learning and creativity.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and the community.
  • Assist with administrative duties related to the after-school program.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Evaluate the needs of children and adapt programs accordingly.
  • Encourage positive behavior and create a nurturing environment for personal growth.
  • Address and resolve any conflicts or disciplinary issues that may arise.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant certifications in child development or education are advantageous.
Experience
  • Experience in program development and implementation is preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Child Development Knowledge
Certifications
  • First Aid and CPR certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Fluency in multiple languages: Ability to communicate in several languages is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the South African educational system: Understanding the local educational landscape will be beneficial.
