Security Guard

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of vessels and personnel in Cape Town's coastal waters. The role involves conducting regular patrols, monitoring access points, and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of all personnel on site.
• Participate in the development of security protocols and procedures.
• Assist in emergency response drills and real situations as necessary.
• Review and report on security measures and suggest improvements.
• Maintain a high level of physical fitness and readiness.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent certificate
• SAMSA certification as a Security Officer or equivalent

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in maritime security or related fields.

Technical Skills

• Hand-held Metal Detectors
• CCTV Systems

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Emergency Response Training
• Security Training Course

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with maritime laws and regulations: Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations within maritime security.
• Previous experience with law enforcement agencies: Experience in collaborating with law enforcement agencies in security operations.
