Job Description

We are seeking skilled Aviation Metalsmiths to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in repairing and maintaining aircraft metal structures and components, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft components.
• Create and implement maintenance schedules for aircraft.
• Ensure a clean and organised workshop space.
• Train apprentices on best practices in aviation metalworking.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aviation regulations.
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities and results.
• Develop innovative solutions for complex repair challenges.
• Assist in compliance audits and inspections.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma or equivalent in Aviation / Aerospace Engineering
• Additional qualifications in aircraft maintenance are advantageous.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in aviation metalworking with a focus on various aircraft types.

Technical Skills

• Welding experience
• Metal fabrication

Soft Skills

• Attention to safety

Certifications

• Military aviation experience is a plus.

Languages

• English: Fluent
