Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. This role will involve developing and implementing inspection processes, ensuring our software products meet quality standards, and collaborating with developers and project managers. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our software quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and enhance the software testing lifecycle by introducing best practices.
• Cooperate with product owners to define acceptance criteria for new features.
• Run load and performance testing to validate application capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies throughout testing procedures.
• Review user documentation and provide feedback for clarity and usability.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies in QA processes.
• Attend daily standups and contribute to sprint planning meetings.
• Champion the importance of quality assurance in all stages of development.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Postgraduate qualifications would be beneficial

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the software testing field

Technical Skills

• Load Testing Tools
• Scripting Languages

Certifications

• Certified Software Tester (CST)

Languages

• English: Fluent
