Structural Drafter

Job Description

Engineering Solutions Ltd. is looking for a Structural Drafter to join our innovative team in Sandton. In this role, you will develop structural design documents, working closely with project engineers and architects. Ideal candidates will have a keen eye for detail and strong technical drafting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural drawings and models for commercial and residential projects.
• Coordinate with architects to integrate design concepts.
• Assist in the evaluation of project feasibility and material selection.
• Conduct site visits to gather measurements and assess existing structures.
• Support the project team in ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
• BTech or higher qualification is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in structural drafting

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Revit

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Professional Drafter Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Structural Analysis Software: Familiarity with software like SAP2000 or STAAD Pro is a plus.
• Experience with Green Building Technologies: Exposure to sustainable building practices and technologies.
