Job Description

Join our operations team as a Cone Trucker, where you will be responsible for efficiently placing and removing traffic cones at construction sites, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Transport traffic cones and safety equipment to designated work sites.
• Install and remove cones and safety signage as required.
• Coordinate with traffic control personnel to ensure safe work zones.
• Conduct regular checks on equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and safety checks.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Provide assistance in traffic control as required by supervisors.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating heavy vehicles.

Technical Skills

• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver's license
• Knowledge of road safety regulations

Soft Skills

• Good communication skills
• Strong attention to detail

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in road construction or maintenance projects: Experience in working within the construction industry, particularly with traffic control.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance: Experience in carrying out routine checks and minor repairs on vehicles.
