Join our team in Port Elizabeth as a Mechanical Engineer where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills with a focus on efficiency and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for engineering projects.
• Create and oversee testing plans to validate product designs.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Assist with the training of new staff members on engineering practices.
• Develop methods for energy efficiency and waste reduction in designs.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for engineering projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Certification in Six Sigma is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in mechanical design and development

Technical Skills

• Engineering Mathematics
• SolidWorks

Soft Skills

• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
