Job Description

As a Registered Nurse at Healthcare Services Group, you will provide essential nursing care to our patients. This includes monitoring health conditions, administering medications, and supporting families through comprehensive health education and emotional support.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and interpret patient health indicators.
• Prepare and maintain equipment for medical procedures.
• Assist in discharge planning and coordination of aftercare.
• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare teams.
• Document nursing care and patient progress accurately.
• Promote hygiene and comfort measures for patients.
• Educate patients about health promotion and disease prevention.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements

Education

• Registered Nurse qualification
• Diploma in Nursing preferred

Experience

• 2+ years in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Wound Care
• IV Therapy

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Decision-making

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual skills: Ability to communicate in Afrikaans and English.
• Experience in outpatient care: Experience in managing care for patients in an outpatient setting.
