Job Description

As a Financial Controller, you will oversee the financial operations of our Johannesburg office, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. You will be responsible for managing the financial team, developing budgets, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Direct the financial operations of the organization and monitor financial performance.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with departmental heads.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.
• Manage the finance team’s performance and career development.
• Analyze market trends and financial data to inform strategic decisions.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
• Develop financial risk management strategies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration
• MBA or equivalent preferred

Experience

• 5-7 years in a senior finance role, preferably in accounting
