Job Description

As an Investment Banker in Cape Town, you will engage in market research, manage client accounts, and create investment proposals. Your role will involve collaboration with diverse teams to deliver impactful financial services and advise clients effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic financial plans tailored to clients’ needs.
• Conduct presentations to clients and stakeholders regarding investment strategies.
• Actively participate in client and investor meetings.
• Evaluate and report on asset performance across portfolios.
• Lead and assist in transaction execution from start to finish.
• Keep abreast of market developments and regulatory changes.
• Prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Foster cross-selling opportunities with other services offered by the firm.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics
• Master's degree in Finance is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in investment banking or similar roles

Technical Skills

• Debt Capital Markets
• Equity Research

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Client Management

Certifications

• CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
• CFP (Certified Financial Planner)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
