We are on the lookout for a creative Architect to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will bring innovative design concepts to life, focusing on sustainability and functionality. You will collaborate with engineers and clients, manage design projects, and ensure that all architectural solutions meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative structures that meet user needs and environmental standards.
• Engage with clients regularly to refine design concepts and ensure alignment with their vision.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site evaluations to inform architectural decisions.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• Cultivate relationships with contractors and subcontractors for efficient project execution.
• Present designs and proposals to stakeholders and obtain necessary approvals.
• Implement sustainable design practices in all projects.
• Engage in continuous professional development and learning opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Master's degree is desired

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in architectural or urban design

Technical Skills

• Adobe Creative Suite
• Microsoft Office Suite

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• LEED Accreditation is a plus
• Building Safety Assessment Certificate (BSAC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Knowledge of BIM software: Hands-on experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
• Experience with urban design projects: Familiarity with the complexities of urban development and planning.
