Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our Durban team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing mechanical systems and overseeing projects from conception to completion, ensuring all projects meet required standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept through to completion.
• Implement quality control processes to ensure product reliability.
• Prepare and present project proposals and technical reports.
• Develop maintenance and operational manuals for engineered systems.
• Participate in safety audits and risk assessments for engineering projects.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Postgraduate qualifications preferable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Leadership skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of material science: Experience with different engineering materials and their applications.
• Experience in HVAC design: Understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
