Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for animal welfare, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating various animal health issues, along with performing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of animal health issues.
  • Perform both routine and emergency surgical procedures.
  • Provide health checkups and preventive care to pets.
  • Document treatment plans and updates in our practice management software.
  • Advise animal owners on health care and nutrition.
  • Work alongside technicians to ensure high standards of patient care.
  • Participate in training programs for staff and interns.
  • Contribute to veterinary outreach initiatives in the community.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
  • Postgraduate studies in Veterinary Surgery preferred
Experience
  • 4+ years of clinical experience in veterinary practice
