Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Structural Engineer based in Durban. You'll be instrumental in designing safe and sustainable structures, ensuring compliance with regulations while prioritizing innovation and functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze key structural components, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Prepare construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Work closely with project managers to define project scope and requirements.
  • Evaluate materials and construction methods to optimize costs.
  • Lead technical meetings with clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide expertise on unconventional building materials and design methods.
  • Monitor project progress and compliance with plans.
  • Assist in the preparation of budget estimates for projects.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies for project approvals.
  • Track industry trends and emerging technologies in structural engineering.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering roles
