Job Description

We are hiring a passionate Children's Therapist to join our dynamic team in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating children with emotional and behavioral challenges, working closely with families to create personalized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Assess children's progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Communicate effectively with families about child growth and challenges.
• Promote positive parenting techniques and coping strategies.
• Stay updated with current research and trends in child psychology.
• Advocate for children's mental health needs within the community.
• Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or equivalent
• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of direct therapy experience with children

• Behavioral Therapy Techniques
• Assessment Tools

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal Skills
• Conflict Resolution

Certifications

• Child Psychology Certificate
• Trauma-Informed Care Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders: Understanding of autism and its impact on children's behaviour.
• Experience with Group Therapy: Ability to conduct group therapy sessions effectively.
