Job Description

As a Commercial Art Instructor, you will teach students the principles of commercial art and design, guiding them to develop their artistic skills across various media. We seek a passionate educator who can inspire students and foster an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cover various art principles.
  • Guide students in using tools and software relevant to commercial art.
  • Encourage student participation and creativity through interactive teaching methods.
  • Assess and critique student work, fostering a growth mindset.
  • Facilitate a safe learning environment that encourages risk-taking in creativity.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments to enhance curriculum relevance.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Assist in recruitment and retention of students in visual arts programs.
  • Contribute to the establishment of new initiatives within the arts department.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or similar
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education is advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant teaching experience
