Job Description

As a Food Service Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our cafeteria. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring that food safety regulations are met, and delivering exceptional customer service. Your expertise in culinary arts will help shape our menu offerings and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, including menu planning and food preparation.
  • Monitor food quality and safety standards at all times.
  • Hire, train, and manage kitchen staff effectively.
  • Create and track the cafeteria budget, ensuring wastage is minimized.
  • Work closely with the Facilities Manager to maintain and update kitchen equipment.
  • Plan and coordinate special events and catering needs.
  • Compile and analyze customer feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Lead regular team meetings to foster communication and efficiency.
  • Design and implement staff development programs to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric
  • Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in cafeteria or kitchen management.
