Public Health Officer

Job Description

Join us as a Public Health Officer in Cape Town, where you will play a key role in managing public health initiatives. You will be responsible for developing programs that enhance community health, conducting epidemiological analysis, and collaborating with various stakeholders to promote wellness and prevent disease.

Responsibilities

• Lead public health campaigns to raise awareness of health issues.
• Engage with community leaders to foster support for health initiatives.
• Assess community health needs through surveys and focus groups.
• Implement strategies to reduce barriers to healthcare access.
• Conduct training for healthcare workers on best practices.
• Collaborate with schools and businesses to promote healthy environments.
• Facilitate communication between public health agencies and the community.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in public health program management.

Certifications

• Certified in Public Health (CPH)

Languages

• English: Fluent
