Visitor Services Technician

Job Description

As a Visitor Services Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring a positive experience for all visitors to our facility. You will interact with guests, provide them with essential information, and ensure their experience is seamless and memorable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service to enhance visitor satisfaction.
• Conduct tours and provide detailed information about our offerings.
• Address and resolve any complaints or issues raised by guests.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety within visitor areas.
• Gather and analyze visitor feedback to improve services.
• Support the coordination of group tours and events.
• Work with colleagues to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Help with administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Higher education in Hospitality or Tourism is a plus

Experience

• At least 2 years in customer service or hospitality role

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Office Suite
• Database management software

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving abilities
• Team collaboration

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Additional South African language: Conversational

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and another language: Ability to communicate in English and an additional South African language is advantageous.
• Experience in a tourism-related field: Previous employment in museums or cultural institutions preferred.
