Join our dedicated team as a Veterinary Surgeon in Pietermaritzburg. You will be responsible for the medical and surgical treatment of pets and farm animals. The ideal candidate should be skilled in both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical examinations on animals.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and analyze results.
• Perform dental procedures on pets.
• Manage post-operative care and monitor recovery.
• Offer nutritional advice and behaviour management tips.
• Participate in community outreach and education.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science
• Postgraduate qualification in Surgery is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of practice experience

• Anaesthesia Management

Certifications

• Small Animal Practice Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
