Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Manager to oversee our projects in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be instrumental in coordinating various construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and managing resources efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead construction crews to ensure productivity and safety.
• Develop project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.
• Conduct regular meetings with teams to communicate project updates.
• Liaise with local authorities and ensure compliance with zoning laws.
• Evaluate project performance and recommend improvements.
• Prepare documentation for project bidding and procurement processes.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure design integrity.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
• Master's degree in relevant field is advantageous

Experience

• 8+ years in a managerial role within construction

• Construction methods and materials
• Risk assessment and management

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional
• Registered Construction Manager (RCM)
