Responsibilities

• Underwrite new insurance policies while maintaining compliance standards.
• Analyze and interpret complex data to make underwriting decisions.
• Assist in litigation related to underwriting decisions as required.
• Review applications for insurance risks and evaluate exposures.
• Provide expert opinions on underwriting standards and procedures.
• Recommend changes to underwriting guidelines based on observed trends.
• Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Support sales and marketing efforts with underwriting expertise.
• Create underwriting reports and presentations for management.
• Engage in networking with other professionals to stay updated on best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or a related discipline
• Master’s degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting or insurance assessment

Technical Skills

• Underwriting Software Proficiency
• Market Research

Soft Skills

• Negotiation Skills
• Client Management

Certifications

• Advanced Insurance Underwriting Certification
• Risk Management Certification is desirable

Languages

• English: Fluent
