Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between clients and their medical teams.
• Assist with mobility aids and ensure clients are safe during transport.
• Provide light housekeeping services to maintain a hygienic living space.
• Engage clients in stimulating conversations and activities to promote emotional well-being.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Certificate in Basic Life Support is advantageous

Experience

• Experience in caring for elderly or disabled individuals preferred

Technical Skills

• Medication Administration
• Nutrition Assistance

Certifications

• Home Health Aide Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in palliative care: Experience providing compassionate care for clients with terminal illnesses.
• Training in mental health support: Background in mental health support preferred to assist in emotional care.
