Public Health Officer

Job Description

We're looking for a passionate Public Health Officer to enhance community health in Johannesburg. This role involves conducting health screenings, managing outreach programs, and evaluating health data to inform policy-making while ensuring that community members have access to quality health resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead public health strategy development in response to community health issues.
• Conduct data collection and analysis to inform health program development.
• Promote public health policies that enhance community health outcomes.
• Coordinate with local hospitals and clinics for service delivery improvements.
• Facilitate workshops and community meetings to foster health awareness.
• Develop reports for stakeholders on program effectiveness.
• Support disaster response initiatives related to public health.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or Social Sciences
• Master's degree in Public Health preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in public health or health promotion roles
