Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Tax Consultant with a strong background in tax regulations and compliance to join our Port Elizabeth team. You will play a crucial role in advising clients on a variety of taxation matters and ensuring compliance with local and national tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to gather information and assess their tax situations.
• Create and implement effective estate and gift tax strategies.
• Analyze financial information to determine tax liability and prepare reports.
• Support clients with tax compliance and legislative requirements.
• Conduct workshops or presentations related to tax issues.
• Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Work closely with the audit team to handle financial reviews.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on tax policy changes.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance expertise.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Taxation or related field
• Master's degree in Taxation or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax advisory or consultancy roles

Certifications

• Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience working with corporate clients: Previous experience advising corporate clients on tax matters.
