Job Description

As a Harbor Master, you will oversee all operations within the harbor, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and coordinating vessel movements efficiently. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in maritime operations and proven leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
• Perform routine inspections of the harbor facilities and oversee the operational safety procedures.
• Facilitate communication between vessel operators and harbor staff.
• Handle conflicts and provide solutions promptly and effectively.
• Assist in the development of harbor policies and procedures.
• Plan and implement training programs for harbor staff to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies or related field
• Valid Harbor Master Certification

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maritime operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
