Insurance Underwriter

Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter, you will assess risk by gathering information, analyzing data, and evaluating insurance applications. We look for an individual who can juggle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy in their work. Previous experience in underwriting or a related field will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze applicant data and assess the potential risk of insurance coverage.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and clients.
• Keep updated on market trends to inform underwriting decisions.
• Work collaboratively with claims and sales teams to enhance procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Assess unusual claims ensuring appropriate actions are taken.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• A master's in Business Administration is advantageous.

Experience

• 5+ years of underwriting experience preferred.
