Accountant

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Johannesburg office. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with tax laws. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of accounting software and financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements in accordance with standard accounting principles.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of transactions to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
• Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Develop financial models and report financial performance.
• Monitor and report on income and expenses.
• Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Master's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in accounting or finance roles
