Derrickman

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Derrickman to join our team. The Derrickman will be responsible for operating and maintaining drilling machinery on oil rigs. This includes handling pipes, ensuring proper alignment, and overseeing the drilling process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the drilling process and ensure the machinery is functioning properly.
• Keep detailed logs of all drilling activities and equipment status.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance among crew members.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on drilling equipment.
• Assist with training new crew members on drilling operations.
• Evaluate equipment performance and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain communication with on-site and off-site teams.
• Prepare reports on drilling operations for management review.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant certification or training in drilling operations

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Derrickman or in a similar role

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
