Electrical Mechanical Fabrication Technician

Job Description

The Electrical Mechanical Fabrication Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the fabrication of components and structures. This role requires a hands-on approach and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems in the fabrication workshop
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Work with other departments to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Install and commission new equipment
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Trade Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical or Fabrication

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Electrical and mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of SCADA systems

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems: Understanding of fluid power systems and their applications.
• Experience with SCADA systems: Hands-on experience with SCADA software for monitoring manufacturing processes.
