Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of structural design and analysis, as well as experience with relevant software. You will work on a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial, and industrial structures. Your role will involve collaborating with architects and contractors to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for new structures and structural modifications.
• Perform structural assessments of existing buildings.
• Prepare and review specifications and reports.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Coordinate with construction teams to ensure designs are followed.
• Investigate structural failures and provide solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new projects.
• Ensure all projects are delivered to highest standards of quality.
• Stay updated with emerging engineering technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SAP2000
• Post-tensioning

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng)

Languages

• English: Fluent
