Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of structural design and analysis, as well as experience with relevant software. You will work on a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial, and industrial structures. Your role will involve collaborating with architects and contractors to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems using software tools.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders on design concepts.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and assess structural integrity.
• Prepare detailed calculations and reports on structural designs.
• Assist in project management and budget tracking.
• Evaluate materials and methods for design optimization.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Conduct research on innovative materials and methods.
• Address and resolve any design-related queries during construction.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SAP2000
• Post-tensioning

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng)

Languages

• English: Fluent
