We are searching for a Chemical Engineer to join our growing team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of chemical processes and the ability to creatively develop solutions meeting our client's needs while adhering to safety regulations. This role focuses on product development and enhancement, process optimization, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative chemical products that meet market needs.
• Assess and record data from laboratory experiments.
• Create process flow diagrams and other project documentation.
• Ensure all processes comply with health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with other engineering departments for integrated solutions.
• Identify opportunities for waste reduction and efficiency enhancement.
• Conduct risk assessments and process improvements.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
• Train staff on new equipment and safety protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or similar
• Professional Engineer License preferred

Experience

• 5 years of relevant industry experience
