We are seeking a skilled Epidemiology Specialist to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing health data, conducting research, and implementing public health initiatives to improve community health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct epidemiological research to track public health issues.
• Interpret complex statistical data and present findings to the public and stakeholders.
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of public health policy.
• Educate the community on health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
• Help in developing health education materials for various audiences.
• Engage with local health organizations to coordinate responses to health emergencies.
• Evaluate health programs for effectiveness and community impact.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Epidemiology
• PhD preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a public health role

• Epidemiological Modelling
• GIS Software

Certifications

• Epidemiology Training Program Certificate
• Certified Public Health Administrator (CPHA)

• English: Fluent
