Civil Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing civil engineering projects, collaborating with architects and project managers to ensure that designs meet requirements and regulations. You will work on a variety of projects, from residential developments to large infrastructure initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of civil projects from conception to completion.
• Work with various stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure quality control throughout the design and construction phases.
• Draft and revise project proposals and budget estimates.
• Facilitate communication between project teams to enhance collaboration.
• Analyze survey reports and maps to inform design decisions.
• Utilize project management tools to track progress and deliverables.
• Promote innovative engineering solutions to enhance project outcomes.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and compliance.
• Prepare presentations for project stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil design with a focus on infrastructure projects

Certifications

Languages

• English: Fluent
