Job Description

We are in search of an experienced Urban Planner to join our team in Stellenbosch. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of urban design principles and a passion for developing sustainable urban environments. You will be responsible for planning and executing urban projects that align with community needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead community planning sessions to gather stakeholder input.
• Create detailed project proposals and feasibility studies.
• Ensure urban plans align with local laws and sustainability goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects.
• Monitor and report on project deliverables and timelines.
• Evaluate urban development projects for community impact.
• Create strategic plans that reflect community needs and future growth.
• Develop zoning regulations and land use policies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required.
• Master's in Urban Planning preferred.

Experience

• At least 5 years of professional experience in urban planning.

Certifications

• Urban Planning Certification preferred.

Languages
