Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Civil Engineer to contribute to our diverse projects in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site activities, liaising with contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. A proactive attitude and exceptional organizational skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead site meetings and ensure effective communication among team members.
• Monitor project performance and adjust plans as necessary.
• Compile project progress reports for stakeholders.
• Manage procurement of materials and resources.
• Assist in developing and maintaining engineering standards and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering with demonstrated project management capabilities

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Microsoft Project

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with GIS software: Experience in using Geographic Information Systems for project planning.
• Knowledge of contract management: Experience in managing contracts and project scope.
