Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our growing team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in mechanical systems, strong problem-solving skills, and experience in troubleshooting and repair. You'll be responsible for maintaining machinery, conducting inspections, and assisting in the design of new systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance schedules for mechanical equipment.
• Collaborate on technical projects with engineers to meet deadlines.
• Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.
• Ensure that all work is performed according to industry standards.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex mechanical issues.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.
• Develop and maintain inventory of tools and spare parts.
• Assist in the development of maintenance manuals and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Higher National Diploma preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in mechanical environments
