Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical systems and design, coupled with hands-on experience in project management. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing engineering processes, ensuring quality and efficiency in our operations.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and CAD drawings.
• Simulate mechanical operations to validate designs.
• Manage project timelines and coordinate resources.
• Analyze system failures and implement corrective actions.
• Report project progress and key metrics to management.
• Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and project management

Technical Skills

• CAD Software
• Mechanical Systems Analysis

Certifications

• Lean Manufacturing Certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and ANSYS: Hands-on experience with both AutoCAD and ANSYS for engineering analysis and design.
• Experience in automotive engineering: Background in designing and testing automotive components.
