Job Description

As a Cow Tender, you will be responsible for the comprehensive care and management of cows on our farm. This job combines traditional husbandry practices with a focus on animal welfare and productivity. Our ideal candidate is passionate about agriculture and has experience working with livestock.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily feeding regimen and monitor cow behavior.
  • Conduct routine health checks and maintain cleanliness.
  • Manage milking techniques to ensure quality milk production.
  • Assist in implementing breeding programs and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with veterinarians and other staff.
  • Uphold best practices in livestock handling and care.
  • Participate in farm management meetings to improve practices.
  • Document all care routines and treatment protocols.
  • Stay updated on best practices in animal welfare and farming techniques.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Degree in Animal Science or Agriculture preferred
Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in dairy farming.
