Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Petroleum Engineer to join our team in Kimberley. The successful candidate will be involved in designing and implementing extraction processes in our petrochemical projects. A solid understanding of drilling techniques and familiarity with reservoir management are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans and schedules for drilling operations.
  • Evaluate reservoir characteristics and optimize extraction methods.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new projects or technologies.
  • Monitor drilling operations and coordinate with field crews.
  • Manage budgets and resources to meet project targets.
  • Participate in the preparation of reports for management.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on engineering solutions.
  • Promote best practices in health and safety procedures.
  • Engage in stakeholder meetings to discuss project updates.
  • Participate in training sessions for junior engineers.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Petroleum Engineering preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in oil and gas extraction
